About the client

A 60-person payments platform moving money for marketplaces across the US and Canada.

What you would work on

  • Extend the double-entry ledger to support multi-currency payouts
  • Design idempotent settlement workflows across three payment processors
  • Cut p99 latency on the payout API, currently sitting around 900ms
  • Take part in a shared on-call rotation, one week in six

What we are looking for

  • Production Go experience on systems handling money or other high-stakes state
  • Comfort with Postgres beyond the ORM — indexes, isolation levels, query plans
  • Experience with event-driven architectures and exactly-once semantics
  • Clear written English; this team runs on design docs
